It’s important to mention that as the world continues to be focused on short content, that reading long blocks of text will be a valuable skill, maybe even an employable skill for certain professions. Many people don’t want to read and will be happy to give that task to someone else. Good blog post

Some stats from Dymocks’ Top 101 Books for 2024 list. The percentage of female authors and BookTok books don’t surprise me, that’s in line with current trends at the moment. Would like to see more Australian authors at the top of a list by an Australian bookstore, but this is also to be expected.

Finding it interesting to hear about the possible link between phones and the current “mental health crisis”. I’m interested in reading the full book one day – if I get my hands on it. Has anyone here read it?
